Wyoming
Winter Lodge
Winter Activities, Snowmobiling, Snowshoe,
Skiing and more.. |
| JeCoSa
Ranch is located six miles from the Horse Creek trail
head which connects snowmobile riders to some of the most
beautiful winter Wyoming Range. The winter activity on
the Wyoming Range follows the majestic Grey’s River.
Located between the towns of Alpine and Kemmerer the Wyoming
Range offers more than 330 miles of groomed snowmobile
trails and numerous opportunities for off trail snowmobile
riding. The snowmobile season in this area typically runs
from late November to April, depending on the year’s
snowfall. |
|
| The
main snowmobile trails are groomed every week and the
secondary trails are groomed every other week or as needed
to make your winter activity an enjoyable ride. The elevation
in this Wyoming area ranges from 6,000 to 10,000 feet
with snow depth usually varying between three to twelve
feet depending on the time of the year. |
When
you snowmobile there are numerous opportunities to warm
up during a long drive at the many warming huts located
along the snowmobile trails. At the south end of the range
are the Poison Creek, La Barge Guard Station, and Smith’s
Fork Parking Area while the north end of the range is
home to the Blind Bull Warming Hut located at the head
of Blind Bull and Horse Creek.
In the winter Wyoming Range is home to a wide variety
of wildlife including Moose, Elk, Mule Deer, Bald Eagles,
Fox, wolves and Coyotes. It is not uncommon to see much
of this wildlife on trips so do not forget to bring your
camera!
JeCoSa Ranch is also very close to the Upper Green River
Area, Irish canyon, Green River, Big Piney, Big Sandy,
and Cottonwood Creek which are also very popular areas
to snowmobile. These networks of snowmobile trails allow
you to ride from Jackson Hole to Dubois or Afton to Alpine
just to name a few.
